file SP Smart Slider settings

6 years 7 months ago #636 by Glen
Hello folks,

I'm trying to slow down the speed of the SP Smart Slider module as it is too fast to read the text.

In the Minima Settings -> Basic menu, I have increased the Interval setting by quite a lot, but it has made no difference at all to the scrolling speed.

Where do I look to change the slider speed?

Thanks in anticipation

    Hello Glen,

    Use larger intervals eg:
    Interval : 15000

Thanks Mod, that is exactly what I tried - but it doesn't work.

I set the Interval up as high as 100000, and it still cycled at the same 5sec it used as default.

Eventually, I found a .js file in the module's /minima folder that contained the default settings. I edited the default value in this file, and that achieved the slowdown required. Sorry I can't be more specific about the name of the file, but my hosting company has had a catastrophic failure of a web server, and I can't get to my site at all just now - so development of the site is at a standstill. I may even have to start over once the server is back up...
